I am delighted to announce that bhpc won the annual Fordingbridge CC Challenge last night, against stiff competition from 7 other local camera clubs. This was the first time it has been run as a live online judging session, due to the current lockdown, and judge Louis Rumis gave us 72.5 marks out of potential maximum of 80 for our 8 images. Star performer was Helen Higgs whose image "A Wet day in Winchester" came second overall, whilst Jules Syrett's "Bad Hair Day", and Lauren King's "Coralie", also scored maximum 10's. Solid scores for the rest of the entries secured the victory, as watched by a virtual audience of over 120.
The challenge involves pdi images only of all genres, both colour and monochrome, and means we have a trophy to show in our "virtual" trophy cabinet for a year - if we can arrange a safe way to get it from last year's winners, Salisbury CC!
Congratulations to the team, and especially Lauren, who has managed the selection of our images and liaised with Fordingbridge throughout. And sincere thanks to the team at Fordingbridge, who did a great job of running the competition via the Zoom online conferencing system.
Attach the scoresheet from last night, provided by Russ - many thanks!
Makes good reading!!
Well said Ian. It was a great evening for the club and the best result I can remember for the previous incarnation of the club as well. Congratulations to all the authors for their scores and all the organisers. We're looking forward to seeing the trophy at some point.
